RHEUMATIO OOMPOUNQ and Blood Fiirllier, W HICH has gulnod such great popularity wlwrever Introdneed, as the only sixt-ylc know u •or tr># effectual auro o| this painful disease. This remedy baa already oured thousands o( ca*<.t, compris ing ovary seeming turn* of this complaint, from the ««- /tamutatury (aente) form, aUeuded with swellings and enlargement ut the joints, to old cArantc eases ol fount Isn to taenty and thirty years' standing. Thus# wbc had for years resorted to the various celebrated springe, hod tried all th* Haimeate and external application*, and been under treatment of seat* of th* ablest physt- elaus both in thia country and Europe, aad were pro nounced incurable; etlll, afoor all these efforts had failed, this compound has eurnl them. Many who have beeu cripples, eltbar hobbling upon cratchesot confined to their bed* for years, certify to a « nent cure by th# ua* i»r this remedy. We have not space, IB a hewspapei .. test but a small portion of the accumulated evidence iu behalf. This evidence comes from sources whioh mast inspire ooafideaca la every mind. The ceuduu- of high-toned public jouruala have publlahed to __ world IU woaderftil and beaeflclal eflecU upon themselves aad those around thxm, and in some »n- sUnoes speak of htuulreds of cures. Physicians have resorted to It, and certify that, even in extreme caaes, whore ooasnltatione had been hold, and they had decided that there were no hopes q/' recovery, even then, they procured this medioiu* and administered it, aud It ef fected a complete cure. Ministers of various denomi nations have writton and published what it lias done for th*msclve6 and their friends; while merchants, offi cers, mechanics, and private eltiiens, have furnished volume* of evidence of the highest character, such ns companies no other preparation in America. W# will givo a short synopsis of a small portion of the ovidenoe, and request aU who are afflicted to send to the agent and get a circular, and read what those who or* loug amicted have said of thi* remedy. Mr. N. Base hall, one of tho editor* of the St. Louis (Mo.) Republican, gives a loug editoria' statiug his af- ll if lions, aud that ho was cured by this rameuy. The editor of St. Louis Intolliaeitcer also glvss notice of iu wonderful effects in curing n severs case of chronio rheumatism. The editor ol 8t. Louts Organ and Ko- vellie devotes a long editorial in behalf ut IU wonder ful offects In ourtog nundreda of cases iu thatoity. The editors or St. Louis American Bauner, Temperance UatUry, and St. Louts Union, have all awarded to it unprecedented suooess in earing this disease. The edi tor of Belleville (HI.) Advocate writes and publishes iu magical effecu in curidf him and many around him. The editora of the Glasgow Times, American Eagle, and others of ths South and West* have given volunta ry evidence of their knowledge of iu virtues. Tho editor or the German National Gasette, published at No. 21 Spruce-street, in the city of New-York, under date of sopt. 9, 1852, gives the history of two important oases uf whioh ha has personal knowledge. One, tho w ire of a wealthy merchant, who had for yeara tried the springs, and had the treatmeut or the most eminent physicians of our country; they could effect nothing. She was afflicted with obrouio rheumatism in its worst forms. He was instrnintnUl iu inducing a trial of this compound, and it effecUd a compute cure, lie also states that, a few weeks since, he bought a bottle aud sent it to a gentleman, a friend of his. who seemed a victim to this disease: this bottle cared him. We might add editorials, and fill.ihis entire sheet, but will give a few names of prominent physicians, mer chants, aud others, cured by it. W. 8. White, M. D., an emineot physician of 8t. Louis, writes to a brother member of the profession, Dr. Reese, of New York; "I havu witnessed thoutfeotsof thle compound iu several cases ; and so successful havs been its operations in performing a perfect cure, w hen every other remedy had beeu ineffectual, that l would not besitate to recommend or prescribe it. I think, when iu virtues are aaoeruined by the profession, it will superaede every other remedy in tho treatment of Rheumatism. It is adapted to every form of the disea**, and 1 know no complication contra-lmlicating iU nee. 1 hold it to be the duty of a physician, when convluted of the efficacy^ofa remedy, ana its superiority overall others, at Ioast for the sake of humanity to us* it.' J. M. Hose, M. D., writes from Centre College, Dan ville, Ky., " that a young wan, a member of the Col lege, was so low, that in consultation, he and other pro fessors had decided that ho oould not recover. Thoy dually concluded to try this remedy, and to their great astonishment one bottle restoreri him sound and well, although he had not walked a step for six months pre viously; and that, during twsnty-fiv* years’ praetice, he had never before witneasedsucha remarkableeure. JProfeteor U. L. Dunham, M. D., near Cinciuuati, Ohio, joins in a certificate for publication with two cler gymen of the Baptist Church, stating the case of a highly respectable lady who was for eighteen years af- Uictcd, and had booome hsloless, aud that all other remedies known, as well as the ekill of th# most emi neot phyaioians, had failed, and there seemed no hope of reoovery. until they finally obuinod this remedy, and it curat her sound und well. Capt. J. U. Carver, an old rcoldcut and highly rea- poctable cltiten of Cincinnati, states that he was se verely afflicted twcuty-liv# year* with chronic rheuma tism and nruralyiu. Ills joinU had become stiff, and nothing garothim relief until he ggg*-- -- it oured him . Mr. P. Price, merchant of New Orleans, writes that he was Ten Years a cripple from chronio rheumatism, aud for three years could scarcely turn himself in h j it had affected his whole system. He tried all retut he could hear of, and all the most celebrated physicians but found no relief until he obtained thi* compound, aud it cured him effectually. We might xive huudreds of suoh cases cured in New Orleans aud the South. Levi Hills, merchant at OUowa, Illinois, writes that he was soverely afflicted tor thirty years, aud for seven teen years could scarcely walk a step. Th* fiesh had •(trunk from his lituba; Memos', expensive effort' ‘ ~ ‘ been tried fur years, but he had lost all hope of re< ry. A merchant, being in St. Louis, heard of this edy, bought it and took it horns, aud prevailed on him to use it. He certifies that it cured him aouad and well; the flesh had returned to his limbs, which had become strong as ever. Wo might detail one thousand cases mure, of equal importance. We most respectfully ask thos* who are afflicted to send to the agunt in their vicinity and get a circular, and read the letters and certificates of Rev. Jas. Mitch- •1, llev. N. G. Berryman, Rev. J. II. Linn, Rev. J. M, Kelly, Rev. K. A. Colburn, 2nd other clergymen: while we add the names of lion. J. Smith, late President of the Bank of tho Bute of liksosrf i Geo. O. Christy, Joseph Soutback, with other prominent merchants of St. Louis, as also vast numbers of other citiseus. This is home evidence, and these are living witnesses where this great remedy was first iutroducvd, and whirs many thousands have been cured during the last two years. ALLCOCK’S PLASTERS THE MEDICATED INDIA RUBBER PIASTER Of the Nineteenth Century. M ISTOKY—The history of the.e plasters would occupy more space than can be spared in these i. Huthco it to eav, that the most emiueut chem ist* and phyaioians of the United States and of Europe were crusulted as to their composition. But it was left to Mr. Alioock, who for eeven yeara baa the entire charge of Messrs. Rushton’a Astor House store, to perfect them for publio use. They are made porous, so that the eva poration of the perspiration can go on sufficiently where the plaster is applied, without, as with other plaster*, causing the accumulation of acrid fluid, which cored** the skin and occaaiona many unpleasant sensations, rot necessary for tha eure or alleviation of affeetioua for which a plaster is usually applied. They are tonic and carminative, which render* them of peculiar value in many affections of the chest and bowels, more especially when a nervous character; they in fact warm, and to a oartain extent, vitalise the part upon which they are applied. These strengthening, warming, and pain-relieving plasters, will be found invaluable in weaknese of the Lack, chronic rheumatism, and contractions of th* mus cles; neuralgia, local nervous affections; in asthma. ... L sprains, i bruises ; and in nearly all oases where a local palm weakness exists. The reader ises; timoninls, more pi T. Henderson, whom that oured of a | standing. Dr* I. T. KIendct*Non’a Letter. Farnsillt, Louisiana, March 8, 1850. Dk. T. AtLCOCX, Sir I have been suffering under a severe attack of neuralgic disease of my bowels for rears, w ith hyper- thropby of the heart, and have tried everything known to the practice of medicine from the very best M. D’s.; but truth prompts me to say that your plasters have given me more permanent relief than anything else I have used, and I believe will produce a perfeot cure. I am wonderfully pleased with the counter-irritant effeot of your plaster, for it is produced iu such a mild and t radual way, as well as the Invigorating action it gives ) the capillary circulation around the parts to which they are applied, with the great nervouseedative influ ence they exert upon all nervoua diseases. Sin conclusion, permit m* to sny.thni I havehadex- .trienne of the qualities of the plasters heretofore in uee, but must place yours at the head of them all.
