Be it ordained by the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of 8aranfiah and the hamlets thereof, in Council ansomhled, and it is hereby ordained by tbs authority of the sums, that so muoh of section two of the OrdiaaiuM, entitled "an Ordinance to preserve the pnblie property, Ac.,” passed id August, 1839, os now reads, "or of hitching a horse to any tree planted as aforesaid/' be altered and ameadod so as to read as follows: "or of hitching any animal to any trees, planted as aforesaid, or to auv part of the fences, nil Inga, gates or enclosures of the pnblie squares, places, or bandings,or to any ono of tho publio pumps, or lamp posts." 8r,c. 2. Be it further ordained by tho authority afore said, That tbe said Dispensary Phyidciaue shall be con sidered, hold and taken as officers of the oily, and shall be liable to the same ponaltios for non-pcrforraance or aegleot of any of their official duties as are now pre scribed in case of other city officers. Be it further ordained by tho authority afore said, That such Dispensary Physician before entering on tho duties of his office snail tako the oath prescribed for alty officers, and execute a bond with two securities in the penal sum of one thousand dollars, conditional for tbe faithful performance of the duties of his otfico.— Each Dispensary Physician shall roooivo in full com pensation for raediefuesand services, a salary of 600 dollars ptr annum, payable monthly.
