Ordinances of the City of Savannah, passed in
relation to Stops, Porticoes, Pavements, Trees, Ac.
Nee. 1. Bo it ordained by the Mayor and Aldermen
of the City of riuvannalt and tho Hamlets thereof. That
in lieu orPortioogs or Stops, it shall bo lawful for the
owner nr owners of briok or stono bouses, to ereot co
lumns thereto, not exceeding eighteen inches in diam
eter, provided the covering thorcof is not les* than ten
feet high; aud provided also, that said columns shall
bo placed ouUlde the curb stono and touching t e same.
Hoc. 2. He it further ordained, That all Ordinances or
