In the heart's first warm flow, at ioss of one endeared to us by private unobtru- e virtues, we are apt to exceod the award of airict justice in speaking of tho dead. But, to thoie who knew tho deceased well aud long, it would be hard, indeed to convince thorn that praise 6f- him could be easily exaggerated. Retiring and modest i a degree that did bis worth positive injustice, by ithdrawing him too much from public notice, be a« always a genuine man wheu put to the trial in every part of duty. And in his private w?lk nooue ould give a brighter practical example of tho beauty of a chaste and manly deportment. Therefore Resolved, That we have heard with deep sorrow, ofthedomise of W. W. Abnold, Representative elect, and lato member of this body from tbo county of Pike, aud that wo regard his death as a loss to this Branch of tbs General Assembly, and to the community in which he lived.
