A bill to authorize Warren Freeman of Bibb county, to practice Medicine on the Homopatbic •ystem was taken up, it being unfinished business Saturday last.—Yeas SO; Nays 81. Mr. Shewraake introduced a bill to incorporate Franklin Academy in the county of Burke, also bill to amend the road laws of this State so far the couuty of Burke is concerned. Mr. Andrews—A bill to incorporate Monticclle ami Griffin Railroad Company. Mr. Hawkius—A bill to incorporate 8ummerville Lodge number 160, of Free und Accepted Masons A bill to incorporate Franklin Bridge Company. Mr. Hardeman—A bill to endow Macon Mocbauic Socioty. Mr. McMullen—A bill to incorporate the town Montezuma, in the county of Madison. Mr. Brown—A bill to alter an act authorizing Executors and Administrators to make titles to Und, by requiring oue instead of three months uotico. \fi Mr. Redding—A bill to authorize every one haV' ing received a diploma from any Medical College in the United States to practice medicine and charge therefor. This bill authorizes amendmonts in matter of form ai d substance at any stage of causes. Mr. Thoruton—A bill to amend the consent rule in actious of ejectment. Mr. Trice—A bill to change the 2nd Section of the IOiIi Division of the Penal Code, so as to mate Polygamy and Bigamy punishable by imprisonnftnt in the Peuitentiary for a term not less than eight nor longer than fifteen years. Mr. Young—A bill to establish a general system of education in this State. This bill proposes to set apart, in addition to the present poor School Fund, so much of the profits of the Wostern and Atlantic Railroad, as will constitute the sum of tao bundled thousand dollars per annum. Also—A bill io appropriate the sum of fifteen hundred dollars for the completion of a road Cooper's Gap, in the counties of Union and Lump kin. Also—A bill to allow John B. Chastain to plead and practice Lew in all the Courts of Li Equity in this Slute. * . Mr. Pottle—A bill to provide a new oath in lUu of the oue now administered to Grand Jurors. Also—A ^ill to amend the 43d Sec. of the Judici ary Act or 1709—so as to require Grand Jurors be summoned four months instead ol ten days pre* vious to tho Term of Court at which they nanre. A bill, by Mr. Jones of Liberty, to alter the usury laws, soas to allow all excessive per mintage over the legal rate of Interest, as now established, to be collectable as per contract between the parties in* terested. A bill for a Bunk in Griffin, to be called the “In terior Bank of the State of Georgia"—Referred to ’Committee on Banks. Oq motion of Mr. Cone, the order was suspended to take up the House bill relating to the Court of Dyer and Termiuer in the*City of Savanuah—Read first time. .The Senate then adjourned to 3 o’clock, this after noon. f.
