If the heart's warmest sympathies can be aroused by any influence a viow of the little band of unfortuuate blind must have aroused them on yes terday. The musical^performance of these stu dents via enrapturing. Their songs ware peculiar ly touching. A little boy about twelve years of age was placed upou the stand, and repeated, with great effect, an appropriate piece of pootry. Whilst bo was thus engaged, ftill mauy a tear waa abed by those who “foilfor otkere toota.” He who could listen unmoved “ is fit for naught but treason, strata gem and spoils." Many articles manufactured by tlio blind scholars iu the Pennsylvania Asylum, were exhibited and sold at liberal prices. Mr. Taylor—A bill to define tho duties of Ap praisers. Mr. Barnes-A bill to incorporate ia the county of Columbia a Company to be called the " Colum bia Alining Company." Mr. Harden—A bill to relieve all free negroes in this Slate from the penalties incurred by failing to register their names. Mr. Harrol—A bill to appropriate ono hundred and two dollars for tbo compensation of teach:/* of poor children in the r.oauty of Pulaski. Mr. Dawson—A bill to exempt from levy and sale ono negro of each dabtor in this State, under any f. fa. or attachment obtained after the passage of thie bill. Air. Calloway—A bill giving to Judges of the Su perior Courts the discretiouary power of commuting the ponalty of doath to imprisonment in tho Peni tentiary upon the recommendation of the jury victing tho prisoner. Mr. Gross—A bill to allow plaintiffs in Justices' Courts when they reside out of the county in which ■uit is pending, to prove their accouuts by written affidavits.
