Having heard the particulars of General Van
Guru's engagement, the next enquiry was what
has become of Geu. Wheeler'! Day after day
passed nnd no tidings nnie, until some of the

Georgia General” bad gone up a spout. Late
yesterday afieruoou a courier, ou a weary steed,
bsspattered with mud from bead to tool, was
