FOR THK WEEKLY I'AFKK. ■ months flits met ricd lor # 1 5il pur i eg!*, ua h insertion. high prices and depreciated currency, it may be as well to remind your readers of w hat our Revolutionary fathers sutTered in “the limes that tried men’s souls.” From an old vol ume before me, I condense a lew paragraphs from an account of Washington's campaign in New Jersey, during the memorable winter of 1779—'80, which will give an idea of the scar city and hard living, and the “high prices” o! that period. “The principal encampment in the winter ‘ of 1779—’SO, was about lour miles Soul beast j of Morristown.
