The Georgia Academy of
Science’s annual meeting will
be held at Augusta College, Fri
day and Saturday, April 28-
29. “Telemedicine in Georgia”
symposium will begin at 7 p.m.
on Friday, April 28 with a vari
ety of hands-on science demon
strations conducted earlier that
same day between 1 p.m. and 3
p.m. More demonstrations will
be presented on Saturday from
10 a.m. until noon in the lecture
room of Butler Hall at Augusta

a community meeting to de
velop an action plan which will
address the health and social
needs of persons residing in the

Voorhees College is seeking
applicants for its six-week resi
dential math and science pro
gram, which runs from June 5
through July 14. The program is
designed to strengthen the math
and science education of partici
pants; improve their competen
cy in math and science; and en
courage student interest in
postsecondary degrees and ca
reers in math and science, Par
ticipants must be entering 9th,
10th or 11th grade; economically
disadvantaged; and in need of
academic support. Fifty slots are
