Two local Toastmasters
receive DTMs

Distinguished Toastmaster
(DTM) Award at the Toastmas
ter’s District 14 Fall Conference
held in Atlanta, GA. The occa
sion was doubly significant in
that the International President
of Toastmasters, Inc., lan
Edwards, presided over the in
duction ceremony.
Toastmasters Inc. is an inter
national organization with over
8,000 clubs throughout the world.
Its goalsinclude improving one’s
general communication skills,

The fall Augusta Con, a small
science-fiction convention, will
be held at the old Revco in
Southgate Plaza, 1631 Gordon
Highway during the first week
end of December. On Saturday,
December 2, the con will run
from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and
on Sunday, December 3, it will
