B Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church will hold its
annqal Men’s Day Celebration on Sunday, March 24, at 11 a.m.
services. The speaker for the occasion will be Dr. Samuel Jolley,
president of Morris Brown College of Atlanta, GA. Dr. Leonard
Dawson, president of Voorhees College of Denmark, SC will also
appear on the program. Brothers Augustus C. Thurmond and Carl
Turner Sr. will co-chair Men’s Day. Dr. A. Hindon Shaw is program
chairman. The public is invited.
B The Sanctuary Choir of Macedonia Baptist Church, 1828
Wrightsboro Road, will be in concert on Sunday, March 24, at 3 p.m.
The Sanctuary Choir of Antioch Baptist Church will be the guest
choir. The Rev. Eric Taylor, pastor of Oakey Grove Baptist Church,
will serve as Master of Ceremonies. The public is invited to attend.

B Beulah Grove will hold a Family and Friends Evangelistic
Emphasis Worship on Sunday, March 24, at 11 a.m. Rev. Sam Davis
is pastor.
B Wesley United Methodist Church, Richland Avenue and
Fairfield St. in Aiken, SC, will have “Women in the Pulpit” prqgram
on Sunday, March 24, at 11 a.m. The speaker will be Mrs. Bernice
Sanders.
B Greater Young Zion Baptist Church, 516 Forsythe Street,
will celebrate the ninth anniversary of the GYZ Junior Choir on
Sunday, March 24, at 2:30 p.m. Rev. William B. Blount is pastor.
B The Deaconess Board of Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1223
Laney-Walker Blvd., will present the Paine College Choir in a free
concert on Sunday, March 24, at 6 p.m. Mr. Isaac Holmes is director.

B Trinity-on-the-Hill United Methodist Church, 1330 Monte
Sano Avenue, will hold The Seven Last Words of Christ program on
Sunday, March 31, 1996, at 7:30 p.m. The Chancel Choir and
Soloists will perform as well as members of the Augusta Symphony
directed by Melvin Brown.
B Williams Memorial Christian Methodist Episcopal
Church, 1530 Fifteenth Street, will hold a special Palm-Sunday
program on March 31, at 11 a.m. Featured on the program will be
soloists Helen Moore, Eleanor Carr, Julian Miller and Willie Wiley.

B Macedonia Baptist Church, 928 Anthony Road in Macon,
Ga., is hosting a free program This is My Beloved Son, a powerful
drama and musical of the life, death, resurrection and ascension of
Jesus Christ. Times will be Friday, March 29, at 7 p.m.; Saturday,
March 30 at 3 and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, March 31, at 5 p.m. Large

Teenage Workshop
The Good Shepherd Baptist
Church Youth Ministry will have
their first Teenage Workshop for
ages 12 - 18 on Saturday, March
23rd, from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
