VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
VOLUNTEER DRIVERS are needed
for about one hour between 10:30 -
11:30 a.m. to deliver meals to
homebound senior citizens in the Au
gustaareaforthe Senior Citizens Coun
cil's Meals-on-Wheels program. All
volunteers are provided with an orien
tation to their routes and delivery pro

TES SERVICES will sponsor the Ninth
Annual Juliet Powell Diabetic Week
end Experience — a camping trip for
kids 7 - 16 years of age — July 18 - 21
at Camp Lynwood Haynes. The camp
teaches children with diabetes how to
live with their diabetes while allowing
them to participate in typical camping
activities such as hiking, canoeing,
swimming and crafts. The youngsters
also will learn how to test their blood
sugar levels and give themselves insu
lin shots. The camp is offered free of
charge with advanced registration re

BLOOD DRIVES
SHEPEARD COMMUNITY BLOOD
CENTER, 1533 Wrightsboro Road,
supplies the majority of hospitals in
the CSRA and depends on volunteer
donations to maintain that supply. With
the holiday, donations are usually slow
and the usage of blood will most likely
be high. This is a crucial time to
donateif you are able. The following is
a list of upcoming blood drives:
-July 13 Sat. - The bloodmobile will
be parked at Movie House at 4750
Washington Rd. from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
- July 14 Sun. - The bloodmabile
will be in the parking lot of Wesley
United Methodist Church, 825 North
Belair Rd., from 9a.m. - 1 p.m.
- July 15 Mon. - The bloodmobile
will be in the parking lot of Carlisle Tire
in Aiken, 25 Windham Blvd., from 1 -
5 p.m. A drive will be held in the
