VA announces Employees of the Month
AUGUSTA
Mr. David Whatley, Medical
Center director, has announced
the recipients of the December
Employee of the Month Award.
This recognition is given to one
employee at each division (Up
town and Downtown) who con
sistently acts as a positive role
model. Customer service, contri
butions to service goals and/or
Medical Center goals, leadership
and initiative, and community
involvement are the four criteria
used to evaluatethe nominations
submitted by supervisors or fel
low employees.

During his 21 years at the VA
Medical Center, Chaplain Redd
hastouched many veterans’lives.
He is a dedicated and outstand
ing minister to patients, families
and staff. Chaplain Redd’s excel
lent work with hospice, includ
ing bereavement ministry and
regular memorial services, has
helped many families deal more
effectively with their grief. “He
has a heart of gold that reaches
out to all in need of pastoral
care,” writes the person whonom
