Who’s who among students in
American universities and colleges?
Ninestudents at Augusta State
University have been named to
the 1997-98 edition of Who's Who
Among Students in American Uni
were selected on the basis of their
academicstanding, leadership abil
ity, and participation in university
and community activities.
The honorees include Kelly E.
Hiatt, Jennifer I. Lively, Cheri R.
Watkins, Cheryl Y. Williams,
Rosalyn R. Biggerstaff, Chris J.
Britt, Minh T. Hua, David R.
Russell, and Jannifer D. Zedicher.
Hiatt is co-founder and presi
dent-elect of the Collegiate Middle
Level Association and is a found
ing member of the Honors Stu
dent Association. She serves as
vice president of the Student Am
bassador Board and as chair of
the Student Government
Association’s Rules and Efficiency
Committee. Hiatt is a member of
the international honor society of
PiLambda Theta, the Professional
Association of Georgia Educators,
the Teacher Education Council and
the Middle Grades Project. She is
an active volunteer at St. Mary’s
Catholic Church and Blue Ridge
Elementary School. She is a se
nior in middle grades education.
Lively is a member of the Asso
ciation of Honor Students and the
history honor society of Phi Alpha
Theta. Sheisactive in the History
Club, Choice Voice, and the Stu
dent Ambassador Board. She is a
docent at the Augusta-Richmond
County Museum and alsoisamem
ber of the Daughters of the Ameri
can Revolution, the United Daugh
ters of the Confederacy, and the
Order of Robert E. Lee. Livelyisa
senior majoring in history.
Watkinsisa member ofthehonor
societies of Phi Kappa Phi and
Alpha Mu Gamma. She serves as

senior, she is majoring in early
childhood education.
Biggerstaff was on the Jaguar
Activities Board, the Academic
Honors and Awards Committee,
Presidents Advisory Council, Stu
dent Activities Committee, and the
Regents’ Student Advisory Coun
cil. She also is a member of the
Biology Club. Biggerstaff volun
teers with the Adopt-a-Highway
program in Colliers community,
the Medical College of Georgia
emergency room, and the Big A
Club. Sheis asenior in the biology
program.
Britt is a member of the honor
societies of Phi Eta Sigma and Phi
Alpha Theta, the College Republi
cans Club, the ROTC Ranger Club,
and the Student Government As
sociation where he serves on the
Committee on Committees, Stu
dent Welfare Committee, and
Rules and Efficiency Committee.
He is the battalion executive of

ROTC. Britt is a recipient of the
ROTC Superior Academic Achieve
ment Award. He is a senior major

Hua is president of Phi Beta
Lambda and the Student Govern
ers Association of Metro Augusta.

tivities Committee. She previously
served on the Senate Rules and
Efficiency Committee, the Com
mittee on Committees, and the
Rules and Efficiency Committee.
She is a member of the Student
Ambassador Board, Zeta Tau Al
pha, and the Regents’ Student
Advisory Council. Zedicher sang
in the university’s choir and the
Fleming Christian Church Adult
Choir. A senior, sheis majoringin
political science and business.
