ASU basketball game for free
Augusta State University has
announced that it will be collect
ing canned foods at its Thursday
night home game vs. Morehouse
College at 7:30 p.m. on December
18th.
All fans bringing a can of non
perishable food will receive free
admission to the game. All the
food collected will go to help needy
families over the Christmas holi
day. Any type of canned vegetable,
H.S. basketball tournament
is ‘ladies night out’
The Ladies Night Out Holiday
Classic, sponsored by The 100
Black Men of Augusta, will be held
on Dec. 26 and 27 at the Academy
of Richmond County. The Classic
will feature some of the top high
school teamsin Georgiaand South
Carolina. Local teams will be Rich
mond Academy, number one in

Bernie Mac comedy special

to play at Civic Center
Ali Leßoi will host the Christmas Comedy Jam/All About You
Comedy Tour, starring Bernie Mac, at the Augusta-Richmond
County Civic Center arena on Saturday, December 20, at 8 p.m.
The show will feature Bernie Mac and guest Chris Thomas, Mayor
of Rap City and BET’s Comic View.
Tickets are $23.50, $20.50 and $18.50 in advance and $26, $23 and
s2l day of show. Tickets are availible at the Civic Center Box Office,
all Ticket Master locations or charge by phone at 828-7700.

Christmas with Zhana to
be held at the Bell
Zhana records presents “Christmas With Zhana,” a celebration of
Christ on Saturday, December 20, 1997 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bell
Auditorium.
Mistress of Ceremony will be Karen D. Taylor. Also performing
will be Men On A Mission, Lanell Rice & Fully Committed, John
Burg & Mia Sullivan, New Beginning, Prophecy and Voices of Zion.
