ENTREPRENEURS catch an important break by operating

Sitting in the comfort of their
new office, Terry and Shannon
Chavous, proprietors of EZ Money
Mortgage Co., appear to be on easy
street. They have, at their finger
tips, what most new, small busi
ness owners only dream of low
overhead costs that allow them to
quickly build equity, a free recep
tionist to answer phone calls, and
greet clients; and accounting and
marketing assistance, at no cost.
The young couple is one of seven
new business owners that have
taken advantage of the services
offered through the Augusta-Rich

600 similar operations throughout
the country, that have successfully
assisted small companies, like EZ
Money Mortgage, to expand, and
larger business markets

we do as an incubator is offer com

nurture their business, work with
them, and give them a shoulder to
lean on "
But the incubator offers more
than just “a shoulder " Since it was
built through federal funding, the
building itself s paid for, and office
space goes for as little as $1 per
square foot. Offices range in size
from 150 to 700 square feet.
“Someone could conceivably pay

they make from their company to
