People By United Press International n TerHorst Frank Sinatra cleared LOS ANGELES (UPI) — Frank Sinatra was cleared of : any wrongdoing Friday in a $2.5 million civil damage suit :• filed by an insurance agent who charged the singer and •: two others beat him up in the restroom of a Palm Springs :• night club. :• Jilly Rizzo, a Sinatra associate, was ordered to pay :• SIOI,OOO in damages for assaulting Frank Weinstock, Salt :• Lake City, Utah, who had sued Sinatra, Rizzo and Jerry •: Armeniera for alleged injuries suffered in the fight on j: May 5, 1973. •: The U.S. District Court jury deliberated for six hours :• before reaching their verdict. Sinatra and Armeniera :■ were cleared, but Rizzo, who admitted striking Weinstock :• but said it was in self-defense, was ordered to pay •: damages. ■: Rizzo said Weinstock triggered the incident by yelling •: derogatory remarks and raising his fists at him. •: Weinstock said Sinatra shoved him with the palm of his hand and that the others roughed him up in the restroom.
