(AP) — Billy Carter, cited by the federal Oc cupational Safety and Health Administration for nine viola tions at his service station, says the citations “don’t amount to a damned thing.” An OSHA spokesman said Carter was ordered to clean up junk and debris around the sta tion, which was inspected April 14 following a complaint from a Columbus, Ohio, resident. The complainant sent two pictures depicting “junk and scrap” around the station, the spokesman said. “This was strictly some idiot in the Macon area (OSHA) of fice who saw my name on it (the citation) and called some idiot from the newspapers,” Carter said Thursday. OSHA is “a ridiculous outfit,” he said. “They send kids around to inspect peanuts who don’t know the difference between a peanut shelter and a cotton gin.” Carter, brother of the Presi dent, said he was moving 19 mites outside Plains to avoid the Coke v. p. heads state C of C ATLANTA (AP) — Ovid Davis, vice president of the Coca-Cola Co., has been elected president of the Georgia Cham ber of Commerce, succeeding Ben J. Tarbutton Jr., president of the Sandersville Railroad Co. One of the violations was for a fire extinguisher that was three inches above the limit of five feet off the floor. Others in cluded the presence of two un grounded electrical tools and failure to post an official notice that the premises are covered by OSHA regulations.
