Hill street and Ellis road are

those 2 streets will be

CHARGE OFF
During a short meeting
Tuesday night, the commiss
ioners approved a charge-off
list for the electric department
of $21,858 for 1976.
Some $1,700 was collected out
of a $23,000 list for 1975 and
Commissioner Louis Goldstein
suggested the city put the lists
up for bids for purchase by a
collection agency. No action
was taken on the suggestion.
An attempt will continue to
collect the old bills and the
commissioners will receive a
report on collections every 6
months, as Goldstein suggested.
PAYMENTS
Approval of the following
expenditures was given:
—538,180 to Spalding Concrete
Co. for resurfacing work.
—513,700 to Standard Supply
Co., low bidder for 50
transformers for the electric
department.
-$26,089 to John J. Harte
Associates for payment number
3 for Phase 1 of the Sewer
System Evaluation Survey.
-$1,049 to Equity Utility Co.
for electric supplies.
TRAFFIC
That traffic light at Spalding
Square and Airport road should
be up within a few days after its
controller arrives. The
controller was due in mid May
and city officials are still
waiting.
Poles already are set and
other work is almost completed,
according to Clifford Hutson of
the electric department.
City Manager Roy Inman
reported that grading work has
begun at the site of the Juvenile
Detention Center and
construction should be
completed in January.
