Miss Brenda Vaughn
to marry Mr. Nail
Mr. and Mrs. Jesse C. Vaughn
of Milner announce the
engagement and forthcoming
marriage of their daughter,
Miss Brenda Jane Vaughn, to
Mr. Wiley Donald Nail, son of
Mrs. Mary Jeffries Nail of
Montgomery, Ala., formerly of
Griffin.
Miss Vaughn is the grand
daughter of Mrs. Nannie Mae
Peek and the late Mr. Larris
Ross of Milner, and Mrs. Ella
Vaughn and the late Mr. James
Patrick Vaughn of Milner.
Mr. Nails is the grandson of
Mrs. W. C. Jeffries and the late
Mr. Jeffries of Jackson, and the
late Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Nail of
Griffin.
The bride-elect is an honor
graduate of Tift College in
Forsyth where she earned a
B.S. degree. She is presently
employed as a laboratory
technician at the Georgia
Experiment Station in the Food
Science Department.
Mr. Nail served as Staff
Sergeant in the United States
Air Force during which time he
received several decorations
and commendations, among
Miss Bonnie Schofield
marries Mr. Hallman
Miss Bonnie Schofield and
Mr. Wesley Hallman were
united in marriage in a can
dlelight ceremony at the home
of the bride’s parents June 24.
The Rev. Forest Traylor,Jr.,
performed the double ring
ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of
Lt. (Ret.) and Mrs. Frank C.
Schofield of Griffin, the Groom
is the son of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Wilbur Hallman of Merritt
Island, Fla.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a gown of
white cotton eyelet. The dress
was banded with inserts of
cotton lace and featured a
square neckline, circular
sleeves and slightly gathered
waist. The bride carried a
colonial nosegay of white Jack
Frost roses, featuring car
nations, baby’s breath and white
satin streamers.
The bride’s parents were
hosts to a reception following

to marry Mr. Dant
Mr. and Mrs. Fred L. Casey of
Griffin announce the
engagement and forthcoming
marriage of their daughter,
Miss Cheryl Jean Casey, to Mr.
Jerry Dant, son of Mr. Winfred
Dant and the late Mrs. Loreene
Smith of Illinois.
The bride-elect is the grand
daughter of the late Mr. Fred H.
Casey and Mrs. Ada Casey and
Mr. G. D. Gibson and the late
Mrs. Dora Gibson.
Miss Casey is a graduate of
Griffin High School and is
employed at Kandy Kane
Kastle.
Mr. Dant attended Griffin
High School and is employed by
S. S. Kresge warehouse at
Forest Park.
The wedding will be held July
16th at 4 p.m. at Grace Baptist
Church. All friends and

Friday, July 22, at 8 p.m. at the
Hammond Drive Baptist
Church in Griffin. All friends
and relatives are invited.
