sale; (b) to pay all indebtedness
secured by said deed to secure
debt; (c) to pay attorneys fees ;
and (d) to distribute any excess
proceeds as provided by law.

the music, which is heavily in
fluenced by the work of
earlier rock artists. The I
Drifters, The Coasters and ;
The Five Satins joined the
Jukes in the studio.
“After our songs were
written, we realized they fit
the particular artists who
perfected those forms,”
Southside said, in an interview
in Rolling Stone. “It was
natural to bring these artists
into the studio with us.”
Jukes manager (and Bruce
Springsteins’s drummer)
Miami Steve Van Zandt, sees
the inclusion of these artists
as an act of respect.
“Seeing these guys hooked
into shoddy oldies shows was
depressing. When they played
with us, they could see what
they once did was still hip.
They didn’t have to prove
their worth because we
already respected it.”
