Thanks to an Infinite Water Level Selector
that lets you match the water level to the load,
so you don’t have to waste hot water and the
energy it takes to heat it.

Bud Smith. Anyone In
terested In adopting one
of these dogs is asked to
contact the chief.
Chief Smith is In
charge of the dog pound
with the exception of
feeding. Wayne Goodard,
an operator at the
Treatment Plant, feeds
the dogs daily, under the
supervision of Superin
tendent of Utilities John
Maddox.
The pound, located on
the grounds of the
Sewerage Treatment
Plant, has a chain link
fence surrounding eight
individual pins. Each pin
measures approximately
4xß with a water find
food container and a dog
house.
There are four pens on
either side of a hallway
and each pen has a gate.
The Police Department
has the key that opens
the hallway gate at the
north end, while Wayne
has access to the south
end and the key to each
Individual pen.
To catch a stray dog a
Cap-chur gun is used.
Manufactured by
Palmer Chemical and
Equipment Company,
Incorporated, the gun Is
loaded with a special
dart containing an Im
mobilizing serum. The
injected dog remains
awake and alert, but the i
serum relaxes him to the I
point that he is unable to i
move violently or bite. ]

SPALDING SQUARE
I ACROSS FROM tRIFFIN AIIFORT )
tlve on domestic, stray
dogs, but wild dogs are
another matter," Chief
Smith said. According to
the chief, there was a
pack of ten wild, big
dogs on East King Road
Tuesday and residents
were complaining that
the dogs were turning
over trash cans and
roaming around the
neighborhood.
"These dogs were
mangy and diseased and
the parents were afraid
for their children to go
outside among them.
Wild dogs have been
known to attack people,
although not necessarily
in this area," the chief
explained.
Three of the wild dogs
were shot with the
immobilizer gun, but the
serum did not have
proper effect and S3O of
equipment was lost when
the wild canines could
not be captured.
