that is to be done is to take the Medicine nnd to go
to work. To tho Rice Planter it is u valuable Med
icine, as it does not contain any mercurial or min
eral preparation whatever, and is therefore a safe
Medicine for those who ure liable to exposure. I
beg you. do not let me have to tax you so ofren with

try it, at least I hope so. Here is my offer to any
Planter of South Carolina, who will either call on
Doct. P*M. Cohen,of Charleston, S C. or myself,
in the city of Savannah, and either of us will give
enough for twelve cases, and if it does not cure ten
out oFtwelve, we will refund the amount paid for
it. Your are to see the Medicine taken ub I have
directed.
Owing to the heavy rains during the past sum
mer, ana which still continue, nil the low lands
are underwater, which will cause a great deul of
this disease on the Rice Plantations; it will be to
your advantage to procure a certain und speedy

numerous ami horrible diseases to which females are
subject nt this time of life. This period may be de-

OANCEROU3 ULCER CURED, OF 8EVEN YEARS' STANDING.
This cure was effected In July, 1844 -, there have been no symptoms of a return,
and her health still continues good, July, 1848.
„ Nets York, July 23, 1844.
Messrs. Sands:—Gentlemen—I consider it but an act of Justice to you to state the
following facts in reference to the great benefit I have received in the cure of an ob-
e Cancerous Ulcer on my broast.
Ins by
stinnte
I was attended eighteen inonti
Ighteen months by a regular and skilful phyr . , ....
advice and counsel of one of out most able and experiencea surgeons, without the
sician, assisted by the
surgeons, without the
lenst benefit whatever. All tho various methods of treating cancer were resorted to;
for fivo weeks in succession my breast was burned with caustio three times a-day,
nnd for six it was dqily syringed with a weak solution of nitric acid, and the cavity or
internal ulcer was so large tlmt il held over an ounce of the solution. The doctor
{ irobed the ulcer nnd examined the bone, and said the disease was advancing rapidly
o the lungs, and if I did not get speedy relief by medicine or an operation, the result
would lie fatal. I wns advised to have the breast laid open and the bones examined;
but finding no relief from what had boen done, and feeling I was rapidly getting worse,
1 almost despaired of recovery, and considered my case nearly hopeless.
Seeing various testimonials and certificates of cure by the use of Sands' Sarsapa
rilla, in cases similar to my own, I concluded to try a few bottles, several of which
were used, but, from the long deep-seated character of my disease, produced no very
decided change. Considering thia us the only probable cure for my case, I persovereu
.until the disease whs entirely cured. It is now over eleven months since the cure
was completed; tliero is not the slightest appearance of a return. I therefore pro
nounce myself well, and the cure entirely effected by Sands’ Sarsaparilla, at 1 took
no other medicine of any kind during the time 1 was using it, nor have 1 taken any since.
PIouso excuse this long-deferred acknowledgment, which 1 think it my duty to
make. Your valuublo .Sarsaparilla cured me, with the blessing of Divine Providence,
when nothing else could; nnd I feel myself under lasting obligations to you. I can
say many things 1 cannot write, and 1 do most respectfully invite ladies nffiicted as I
have been, to call upon me, and I will satisfy them fully of the truth as stated above,
and many oilier things in reference to the case.

„ . Berkshire, Vt., Oct. 23, 1845.

Sarsnparilia. which I can recommend in truth and sincerity to all those who are in
any way afflicted with any species of scrofulous complaints. There have been some
remarkable cures effected by its use .in this vicinity. Mrs. I. Shaw, by the use of six
bottles,^ whs restored to better health Ihitn slit- nufl before enjoyed for ten years; and
Mrs. W. Stevens, who had been severely afflicted with Erysipelas, was entirely cured
by the uso of a few bottles. Yours truly, \VM. GALUSHA.
CURE OF A 8CROFULOU3 AFFECTION OF THE EYES.
„ ^ South Kingston, R. /., October II, 1847.
Ajessrs. Sands :—Gentlemen—My little daughter, when one year old, was attacked
with a scrofulous humor on her face, which soon after extended into her eyes, enusing
almost total blindness in one of them, and disfiguring her whole faco. I employed
two physicians to attend her, who exhausted their utmost skill to give her relief, but
It all proved useless, and finally one of them remarked to me that he had known of
some striking cures effected by Sands’ Sarsaparilla, and advised me to try it. I ob
tained one bottle, which she commenced using, and before it was all used up it had
effected an entire cure. It is now over four years since she was cured, and there hat
been no reappearance of the disease, and we tire (alisfied that it is a perfect cure.
It gives me great pleasure to add that I can recommend it to every sufferer from any
siintlur complaint. Respectfully yours, GEORGE

pURIFY THE BLOOD.-The vir
tues ofSarsnparilln are too well known to
every one to need any praise or puffing. That
it will purify the blood and thereby make the

tled beyond a doubt, by the most learned and
ominotit Physicians in the world.
Thomas M. Turner & Co's Compound Syr
up of Sursaparilla is a delightful und healthful
drink for summer. It has boon used extensively
in Florida, und throughout the upper purt of
Georgia, for several years, and has never failed
in giving entiro satisfaction. A number of fam
