Copy of a letter from C. IV. Doyley, Esq.
Charleston, March 8, 1814.
Dear Sir—I feel much pleasure in haying it
in my power *o communicate a surprising cure,
effected by the medicine 1 purchased from you,
termed Dr. Robertson’s Elixir of Health. I will
state the following facts: about the latter end
of Nov. last, I procured from you some of the
elixir of health, for a boy of mine, who had la
bored under a violent cough for more than
twelve months, attended with slow fever ami
shortness of breath, it had reduced him so much
that 1 concluded it would terminate fatally. He
took many other medicines and found no relief.
He continued to use the elixir for about three
weeks, when his cough, fever and shortness of
breath ceased, and lie is now in good health,
having had no return of his disorder. Should
any person wish to have more particular infor
mation, 1 will, with pleasure, satisfy their enqui
ries, by applying to me.
1 aui, sir, your’s, 8ic.
To John Dyott. G. W. Dotlet.
Chester District, Dec. 3, 1813.
Dear Sir—When in Charleston last, I called
on you, and purchased two bottles of your sto
machic elixir of health, which you recommend
ed to me to take for a cough and an oppression
on the breast. 1 have since used the medicine
according to your directions, and found it to be
very beneficial to me in removing the com
plaints; therefore I think it my duty to recom
mend it to all persons afflicted witn the above
complaints to give the medicine a trial.
1 am, dear sir, your’s with respect,
7*o Dr. John Dyott. John D. Wist.

Under the denomination of nervous disorders

gerous kind, and arc so various, that a volume
would hardly suffice to complete a description
of them. It pervades, with its baneful influ

heart with inexpressible anguish, and exciting
the most dreadful suggestions of horror ana
despair. To this demon have thousands fallen
a sacrifice, in the direful transport of its rage.—
The most common symptoms at its commence

watchfulness, drowsiness after eating, timidity,
flashes of heat and cold, numbness, cramp, gid
diness, pains in the head, back and loins; nicup,
difficulty of respiration and deglutition, anxiety,
