Hir—I have analyzed your Groats und Bar
ley Powder, which you, having His Majesty’s
Letters Patent for the solo manufacturing of
the same, properly denominate “Patent Bau

tation in declaring them to be genuine pow
ders of the finest Barley and Oats I ever saw.
1 consider it a public advantage, and of great
importance in the mcdicul world, that by your
mode of preparation, a valuable, Hue, mucila
ginous beverage and load may be obtained ill
u few minutes.
I have also nnolyzed some samples,—imita

The above testimonial, from a gentletntti
who has already rendered the public much ser
vice by exposing various deleterious mixtures
and adulterations in articles of general con
sumption, added to the recommendation of
the medical profession, make it unnecessary

effects produced by this valuable medicine.—
I have boon, for the lust five or six years, la

many physicians, taken much medicine, but
all to hut little nurpose. Tho 12th of March,

tinued so tu do for several days in succession,

lliat iny friends began to desp iirofniy recove
ry. Iliad made use ulso of all the popular

tally heard of this Specific, I determined to
give it a. trial, anticipating from the use of it,
no butler result, than had attonded the nso of
ull tho remedies 1 imd taken; hut in this l was
happily disappointed. At my very lowest
state 1 commenced the use of this Specific.—
I took the first dose at night in a little herb tea,
sweetened, which threw mo in a gentle per
spiration und procured for mo a good night’s
rest. I continued to take the medicine as di
rected, and in about five days my cough was
completely stopped und have not had any re
turn since. I am now perfectly satisfied of
the superior quality of this Specific over ever}'
oilier medicine offered for the cure of the
above disease. You are at liberty to use this
letter in any way you may think proper.—
Yours respectfully,
