celebrated for their great medicinal qualities, the ac

greatly improved since lust season, aud is now re-

Tho Hue of Telegraph from Richmond will be com
pleted and in ojjeraiion to tho Mootgomcry White
Sulphur Springs early in June.
Passengers to Knoxville, Tenueaste, take Kent,

from Lynchburg (and being extended Westward at

the above descriptions
containing the books, papers, and money or Mr.
Thomas, and although thu building was detroyed,
the said Safe sustained no iqjury whatever from the
intanss heat to which it hod been exposed. On open
ing th* Safe, the content* were found undisturbod,
and In the same order and condition as when placed
there, oxcept* alight discoloration to tho projecting
ends of a few papers, and the backs of one or two of
the hooks, caused hy the steam generated In the
Safe, whllo at its greatest heat.
Tho Safe and contenta, as It came from the ruins,
may still be seen, in tho possession of Mr. Thomas,
at tbo Gas Works. A large assortment of these cele
brated Safes always on hand,and for sale by

crew of the light-vessel contracted for, on hoard ut

failure to delivor rations or fuel iu time, will be
chargeable to the contractor.

lowed to contract for or deliver rations fur the crew,
or fuel of a light-vessel, nor to be interested iu such
contract.
N'o contractor, superintendent, or inspector will
be allowed to change the parts of the ration, nor the
times that may be determined upon for the delivery,
without authority of the Board.
