About four thousand acres of land in
St. Philip’s parilh, on the north fide of Midway, all
joining on said river, the creeks and marlhes thereof, with
seven miles front. On the lower trads of these lands is a
very pleasant and healthful settlement, well known by*the
name ofßelfaft, within five miles of Sunbury by water on a
large creek, where any veflel that can come over our bar
may load withfafety within 6o yards of the door; here is a
good two (lory house and all other convenient buildings,
garden and orchard, corn field and pasture, under good
fence, and upwards of 400 acres of good corn land, a great
bodv of pine land well stored with the best of pine, and very
convenient to landings. On the upper tracts of these lands,
about five miles from this, is a very pleasant settlement on
the marlhes and north branches of Midway, where there is
500 acres of clear land, two of which is now planted in rice,
corn and potatoes, the other in good pasturage, all under
good fence; there is on this plantation a good barn and
com house, a small house for an overseer, and negroe houfe*
to lodge 00 or too (laves; here is at lead 1000 acres of choice
rice land, which abounds with the greatell conveniences for
darning and keeping refcrVes of water, as also for a machine
to pound rice; the whole of the rice lands may be laid under
water and interfere with nobody, and as it lies in the tide s
way is very easily drained; here is alio the bed 01 corn lands,
the nine land, well stored with pine, and very convenient.
Any perron inclinable to purchase these lands, by applying
to tk lubfcribers, may fee the lands and their convenience,
and* the crop now on the ground, and know the price and
time of payment, which will be made as easy as can well be

WHEREAS, by v : rtue of a writ of attachment to me
dire&ed, to attach the lands, tenements, goods ami
chattels, monies, debts, and books of account, of Shadlock
Rivers, (surviving copartner of Joseph Rivers and son) who
is absent from and without the limits of this province, (as it
is said) so as to make the said Shadlock Rivers a party in
his Majesty’s general court of pleas to answer Joseph Wood,
I have seized and taken into my custody a fchconer, called
the Sukey, with her tackle, furniture, and apparel; this is
therefore to give notice to all and every person and perions
whatsoever, having or laying any claim to the said schooner
and premifies, to appear in his Majesty’s said court, on of
before the adjournment day of Odober term next, to (hew
cause why the said fchboner and premifies should not be ad
judged to be the property of and belonging to the said ablcnt

HE subscriber being about to leave this province in a
very little time, gives no ice to all perlons indebted
to Francis Arthur and company, that there is an abfoluto
necessity for immediate payment of their rcfpcaive debts.
He will dispose of fix valuable TRACTS of LAND upon
very moderate terms, containing 4750 acres, viz.
* One trad fituate’on North Newport river, about four
miles from Sunbury, containing 900 acres, 400 of which are
good swamp, with a fine reserve of water, a good dwelling
houfe thereon, and 80 acres of the high land cleared.
Another trad of 350 acres, on a navigable creek, within
one mile of Sunbury, good for indico and rice, about 90
acres of the high land cleared* and a dwelung-houfe there
on, plcafantly situated. .
800 acres on Bull Town swamp, four miles from
