The reception procession, for all visrt- ing bands,except the French,who had its reception last week, formed at 8 o’clock, and embraced delegations of all the Britr ish, Scotch and German societies of Boa- tnn and vicinity, and citizens generally. The Frst Regiment acted as an escort with a cavalry batallion and the Bostou Fusiliers. Dense crowds thronged the sidewalks and windows along the whole route, and the visitors recived a hearty welcome. All the bauds appeared in pa rade dress, as a review by the city gov ernment, and a collation, ended tbe morning parade. People are pouring into the city from all quarters and by all conveyances. Every State and Territory is represented in the chorus already here. The city is decorated with flags, and nearly all busi ness is suspended. Tbe last touches have l»een given to the Coliseum building, and it is far superior to the former one. Great crowds, in cluding people from all parts of the oouutry are in the vicinity, attracted by curiosity. The grand chorus, for the first time, assembled in the Coliseum this morning, and summed the seats assigned them for the jubilee, and rehearsed the programme of the afternoon concert. Carl Serruhn, Herr Strauss, Franz Abt and Gilmore, in turn, assumed the baton. neyTyork. New York, June 17.—The entire body of coach makers, 6,000 in number, re turned to work this morning, on the eight hour system. Uavemeyer A Elder’s large sugar re finery, in Williamsburg, is closed. A force of strikers crossed from New York to the vicinity of the refinery to day, followed by the Police, but returned peaceably, without accomplishing any thing. In Jersey City the strikers began to gather at Matbeson A Wincber’a sugar refinery at an early hour. Eighty police dispersed them. Forces of police are stationed in dif ferent parts of the city to quell out breaks. Up to noon there were no dis turbances. Officer Eaton, who was wounded yesterday, still lies in a danger ous condition.
