WHEREAS the Governor or other Comman.

powered, with the advice and consent of his Ma.
jelty’s Honourable Council, by proclamation, to
lay an embargo upon all ships and vessels in*this
province, or in any port or place thereof where the
fafety of the province teems to require such a mea
sure: And whereas holhlitics are commenced be.
tween Great Eritnin and several foreign Hates, and
a body of Rebels have invaded this province, rnur.
dered many of his Majelly’s loyal fubjeds, and
done infinite damage to the country : i do there,
fore, with the advice and consent oi bis Majesty’s
Honourable Council, issue this my proclamation
hereby laying an embargo on all ships, vessels, and
other craft whatsoever, in the port of Savannah,
(except his Majeity’s fmps, or any v< ffeis employed

Porto Rico, to which island (he had earned Spanish
prisoners from Bermuda.
Erratum in our laji. In the 2d paragraph under
the Savannah Head, for John Ltmar read Jurnt

WHEREAS the Provost Murfhal of the pro
vince of Georgia, by virtue of a VV>it of
Attachment to him directed in the caulea under
mentioned, did attach the lands and tenements,
and chattels", monies, debts, and books of
account, of the defendants in the fold causes, wno
are übfent from and without the limits of tile laid
p evince, at the suit of the several plaintiff*: And
whereas the said pluntiffs have refpedively,. gree
able to the directions of the Attachment Aft, filed
a declaration in the General Court againilthe seve
