CORINTH.
Well the second Sunday in
May has come and cone and we
are one week n arer the end of
our journey here in this world.
We sure did hear a pood old
time sermon preached l>v our
dear old broth r (' >chran from
Mathew 16-18, Thou are Peter
and upon this rock I will build
my church and the pates of hell
shall not prevail again? it.
There was a large crowd pres
ent in spite of the cold wind
that was blow inp.
Nearly everybody is becom
ing alarmed because Ibis c> !d
weather is killinir nearly all the
cotton that is up, and some tv
port their corn kill and ;u'd ♦he
vegetables in their yardmr- ;
killed so it begins to look like
the Lord is not pleased, so I
think it is time f >r us to be, n
to see what is the cause. I be
lieve it is because the people
have became exalted anti the
Lord is going t:> show ns what
he can do for us and we can’t
help ourselves. We can only
ask him to have mercy on us
and do for us that we can’t do
for ourselves. I ,>ften think of
what the poet :d,sh w pity
Lord o Lord forgive that is
what we will have to ask of him
that is controlling the heavens
because he has power to shut
heaven that it rain not. So v 'u.
are you willing to do, humble
yourselves, or be stout hearted
and go on and be pun': lied.
May be that death and and sG u-
tion is just before us new. F\
ery thing that v; hm 1 to b v
is getting so high that ' <* can’t
buy it, and what we ar trying
to make is dying •> it I 'oI >r-t
ty serious to me just now.

work for him to do by the inter
est that he takes in the church
service. That’s right brother
we need more workers in the
Master’s cause, so turn yourself
loose and be governed by the
good spirit and the Lord will
take care of you.
