CUMMING, GA., OCTOBER 26TH, 1917.
Cattle For Sale.
There is a large number of
high grade feeding steers and
pure bred Hereford breeding
cattle for sale in the drought
stricken regions of Texas that
will have to be sold and trans
ferred to sectinos where there
is feed for them or be slaugh
tered.
The U. S. Department of Ag
riculture has placed a number j
of specialists at Fort Worth toj
locate and purchase the kindj
and sex of cattle desired by secj
tions wishing to purchase. The,
cattle will have to be shipped:
in car lots.
The U. S. Department wired
me to know if my county could
use a car of these cattle. I re
plied by wire that I thought my
county could use a mixed car of
Hereford weighing from 250 to
500 pounds for breeding and
feeding if prices were right.
I think we can get these cat-'
tie delivered here at very rea-;
sonable figures..
I want every farmer and bus
iness man in Forsyth county,
that are interested in building
up livestock industry in Forsyth
county to meet me in Cumming
at my office on next Saturday.
October 27th, at 2 p. m., and
let’s talk this cattle business a
little. I believe a car load of
thorough' Med breeding. ;beof
cattle scattered throughout the
countv will do more for build
ing up he county financially
than tny other project we ctn
enter into.
Please meet me promptly and
let’s let the world know that
F orsyth county means business.

New Garage Building
The handsome new building
being erected by Louis Wis
dom and Roy Strickland for a
garage, is nearing completion,
and they expect to move in in
a very few days.
This building will be one of
the most handsome and up to
the minute garage buildings in
North Georgia.
Being erected as it is with a
large number of windows to
provide ample light for their
workmen, and with handsome
office rooms, and a rest room,
they are well prepared to han
dle Ford cars, apd do first class
repairing on the Ford cars—in
fact, they repair Fords only, as
we understand it.
Roy Strickland, the junior
[ member of the firm has been
i working with autos ever since
1 he was a little boy, and knows
j more about them than any one
|of his age in this section. He
looks after the interest of the;
firm here, and, not only will he
treat you right, but he gives a
cordial invitation to all the peo
ple to bring their cars to him
for repairs and adjustments.
Louis Wisdom, the other mem
her of the firm, like Zacheus,
is small of statue, but he is as
full ofenergy as a bed bug is
of human flesh twenty two min
utes after it hits the body, and
is al .c son th a)e>t for hi
in-seeing tbf t they re
coi :c good treatmeit, the right
par is, and entire satisfaction.
These two boys started out
a few ycaf3 ago to build up an
agency for the Ford car that
would make Mr. Ford himself
sit up and take notice, and sue
cess has crowned' their untiring
efforts.
Remember, they will sell
you a Ford car, and when you
have run it for sometime, and it
needs attention, they repair
4ds.
These boys deserve praise of
the people of Cumming from
the fact that the building they
have erected here would be a
credit to any town five times
the size of ours.
