Important.
To the citizens of Forsyth Cos.:
At a mass meeting held at
the court house on last Sunday
in behalf of the Young* Men's
Christian Association campaign
as regards our army, a commit
tee of twelve Forsyth county
men were chosen as a canvass
ing commit *.oe to solicit funds
for the army Y. M. C. A.
Now friends, there is no use,
and this is not a time for waste
of words or quibbling, but stop
and simply consider., that the
good morals and shaping of
Christian manhood is at stake
it is our boys- not someone we
have i.cver heard of. The mon
ey will be used in furnishing
Christian services. It is For
syth county boys that we are
most concerned about. If you
and I don’t show an interest in
them- then to whom shall they
look? This appeal to you is
not from an unknown stand
point, we hope. We must work
and contribute as well as pray
for them.
The county has been laid out
!in routes, and within the next
; few days tw'o of the men chosen
for the work will call on you
1 and explain the matter fully, so
be considering it until they can
come.
The Committee.
NOTICE.
The bird season will soon
o; v, November 20. and as [
ha . be jo h : pomtecl yar.e and
f and: warden for Forsyth county
1 hereby notify all who intend
hunting out of iheir nuuit'.a
district f o come in and first ob
tain a license. This is not for
my protection but yours. I have
pledged myself to discharge
the duties of the office to the
best of my ability. Of course
i o ore w. ,ai blame me if they
were to violate the game or fish
laws, and I was to learn of it
and prosecute them for so do
ing. Since lam sworn to pros
ecute all violations which f
may learn of, I would • advise
persons to be careful to comply
with the law. If it was the fi
nancial side of the position I re
gardecl most, I would not ad
vise any one to procure a li
cense, for more than likely one
or two cases prosecuted would
pay me more than all my com
missions during the entire sea
son on license sold.
Please do not overlook th's
matter. County license are $l,
each. On the back of each li
cence’are the dates relative to
the open season as to all game
also the bag limit. Below is
gven the open season as effect
us most, also bag limit.
