The death of our friend, Bry
an Williams has caused a lot of
grief and sorrow in this section
for he was a nice young man,
and was loved by all who knew,
him. He was always ready to
help in the Sunday school, and
would play the organ for us but
he will play no more for us on
earth, but his brother, Mercer,
has taken his place at the or
gan. We miss Bryan so much
but we hope he is at rest in the
arms of Jesus. May the holy
spirit dwell with the dear moth
er, and sister and brother in
their sadness.
Well, the service at this place
was fine and the prayer meet
ing was just fine led by young
brother, John Williams. Next
Sunday night the prayer meet
ing is to be conducted by our
brother Tom Fowler. We are
sure glad to see our young bret
hren taking hold in the service
because there are so few that is
willing to work in the church
work, but thank the Lord that
we have some young men who
are willing to take hold and do
their part..
Well, it locks like our nation
is getting in a terrible fix. Ev
ery" Christian ought to be on
their knees asking the Lord to
have mercy on us. and forgive
our people for it is going to
take repentance as did Ninevah
before there is any more peace
Our people have become exalt
ed and the Lord is not pleased
with the way things are going
here in this old world and if
Ninevah had not repented it
would have been overthrown,
and that is the way that I feel
about our nation now. May
the good Lord show his people
just what we ought to do that
will bring peace. Some of our
people have already lost their
lives in the deep sea. May we
all do our duty.
