Smartness, rather than sincerity, is what ruins many people. Three good rules for success: Advertise, ad vertise, advertise. Enough cash in the palm will get a soothsayer to see anything. Calling a movement subversive does not nec essary make it subversive. One of the mysteries of life is why people with brains are too busy to use them. One still hears the argument that if it were good enough for grandpa, it’s good enough for grandchild. What about the gout? Most of the good things that come to indi viduals in life have to be paid for in some manner. The best laid plans will not produce dollars unless they are backed by energy and hard work. Fussy people should be made to live alone, so that they won’t have anyone to be fussy with. Theory is all right for the books, but it takes practical expression of ideas to make life better. The Bible still outsells any book published, and, whether you believe it or not, it is still being read. • The ooft-ppredicted buyers’ strike will occur, according to observers, when the people run out of money. The best friend is. the person who tells you the truth, not the one who tells you what you want him to. Jobs often mean little or nothing to those who have them; they mean everything to those needing them.
