“We believe the quality of life in
Forsyth County, the employment

for the school,” said Bruce

monds, and a chapel. The pro
posed design will accommodate a
preschool, an elementary school,
and high school.
A preschool through eighth
grade facility is intended for the
first phase of the project.
“The goal is to open the
preschool and elementary school
in Sept. 1998,” said Carlisle.
The high school and athletic
facilities will be built as soon as
funding permits.
The other four schools to be
built with the five-year sales tax 1
will be done as revenues come in.
Tomlinson said by moving
quickly on sales tax projects,
Forsyth County will beat an antic
ipated inflation in construction
costs. More than 60 Georgia
school systems passed 1 percent
sales taxes in March and will start
building programs.
The location is near Big Creek
Elementary School and South
Forsyth High School both located
on State Route 141.
Pinecrest Academy currently
has 120 students at their
Dunwoody location and will soon
exceed their enrollment capacity.
Presently in their fourth year of
operation, Pinecrest Academy is
affiliated with more than 60
schools in the United States and
abroad.
