Otwell Middle School
tech lab focuses on
innovation and learning
With science in the forefront of so many of today’s national achievements,
Otwell Middle School students are also at the forefront of using their intel
ligence and creativity to focus on science and its concepts. At right, stu
dents Jessica Dill and Brooke Borders created an exhibit focusing on
aerospace activities and their connection with math and science con
cepts. Left, Tim Zimmer and Chad Tillery learned about cars by building
one and then doing statistical testing.

Above, learning about lasers and fiber optics and how
they play an integral role in our daily lives was one of
the projects undertaken eighth-graders Brandon
Blackwell and Jessie Blake. Left, Paul Corley and Benji
Barnes built a bridge made of balsa wood to a strength
to hold more than 350 pounds. Also pictured from left,
