A SCHEME of a Lottery for the purpose of
building bridges across the Rivers and
Creeks between Wathington and Augusta :

NOTE, That Seabourn Jones, John King, John
Talbot, David Hillhoufe, Benjamin Porter, and
David Crefwell, Esquires, be appointed Managers
to superintend the fame, to commence drawing on
the firft day of August next, provided the Tickets
be then fold ; and that the Managers be also Com
nufiioners authorifed to fix the place, and contrast
with any prg' jr person or persons to build the said
bridged from the money arising from the benefit
of said Lottery.

LOST.
ON Saturday night, the 9th of March, 1786,
A Bond on William Williams, of South-
Carolina, for a likely Negro Boy, between the
age of 9 and 15 years j the said bond was firft
given to James Henderson, of North« Carolina,
in the year 1781 or 1782, and endorsed to me the
subscriber as advertised before in the Gazettes ;
and as it has never been found nor paid, I hereby
forwarn the said William Williams of paying the
said Bond to any other person but to me.

THE subscriber will attend at his house, in
Augusta, from the 10th day of May until
the 10th of June next, in order to receive from
the inhabitants of the diftria of Capt. Pool’s Militia
Company, a Lilt of their Taxable Property for the
present year.

To all whom it may concern:
THEConful of the United Netherlands make
known, that in conlequeace of aßefolution
taken by their High Mightineftes the Lords the
States General of the United Netherlands, dated
January 16, 1786, in future no Mediterranean
pafles will be granted to veftels which are not
built and fitted out in the Seven Provinces, and
entirely owned by fubjefts ‘hereof.

A STRAT HORSE.
MR. HUMPHREY GRAVES informs me of
a Roan HORSE, having strayed into his
pasture, about two miles from Augusta, branded
on the mounting shoulder thus O, 14 hands high,
and about 10 years old. The owner must prove
his property before me within the time preferibed
by law.

A STRAT MARE.
STRAYED from the subscriber, near Clark’s
station, on Long Creek, a small black MARE,
about 13 hands high, 4 years old, branded on the
near buttock thus IC, had a small bell on when
went away. Whosoever will bring said marc to
the subscriber, or will give intelligence so that the
subscriber can get her, lhall have Forty Shillings
Reward.

AS many of the mod refpcftable Ladies and
Gentlemen in this town have informed the
subscriber, that they are very dcfnous t} become
fcholara of his, provided he can furnifh them with
the neceflary Music and Instruments, —he pro
poses to have a
CONCERT
Os Vocal and ln/irumental Music,
On the Evening of TUESDAY, the firft of MAY
next, at Mr. Wamberfte' s Honfe ; with a view of
railing a sum of money for the express purpose of
purchaling Musical Instruments. And .as a Ef
ficient number of Gentlemen of this town have ge
nerously offered to afiift him in the pertoi mance
of the fame, for the encouragement of a science
which is as rational as it is refined, and polilhiug
as it is entertaining,—the subscriber hopes, the
Ladies and Gentlemen in general will be actuated
by the fame liberal sentiments, and favor him with
their company.
The Concert to begin prectfely at 7 o’clock in the
evening. After the Concert, if the Ladies and Gen
tlemen with to dance, Music wiil be furnifticd gratis.
Tickets, at Ten Shillings each, may be had at
the house pf the subscriber. . \

EIGHT DOLLARS REWARD.
STOLEN or STRAYED off Augusta Common,
on the 17th ult. ASORRELHORSE, about
14 hands high, branded RG on the mounting (boul
der, the letters rather imperfect; lias a liar on
his forehead, lately had the distemper, and is very
low in fieih. Whoever brings the said horse to
the subscriber in Augusta, (hall receive the above
Reward and all reasonable expcnccs paid.

ROBERT DIXON tolls before me a Dun Co
loured MARE, about 1.4 hands high, about
nine or ten years old, branded on the mounting
thoulder and buttock RL, the R being turned hack,
wards, and on the otf shoulder and buttock
a fleur-de-lys underneath. The owner must prove
his property before ine within the time limited by
