jtIELT. KISLBGBURY’S DEATH.
Kia Brother Bound to Find Out
* Why He Starved to Death on th©
1 Greely Expedition.
P. Kislingbury, of Rochester,
is a brother of Lieutenant Freder-
Kislingbnry, the second iu corn
el of the Greely expedition, was in
jity the other day, says the N. Y.
vne. The object of his visit was to
tnunicate personally with some of
Arctic survivors regarding a reopen
jf the Government inquiry concern'
the expedition. A point which he
has never received attention is
Lieutenant Kislingbury died from
aon on June 1, yet on June 6
nant (now General) Greely or

Henry, otherwise known as Book)

rould like to know how it came
if there were provisions to steal
ne 1, that his brother, could die
starvation on June 6. *Mr. Kis
ry reiterates the statement that
; Jierc was no flesh left upon his brother's
tody when it was received by him from
lie authorities at the Navy Yard, except
Ipon the head, hands and feet, and
totes also that an examination of the
jptul man's stomach by expert chemists

|x weeks iieforo death.
S One of the survivors whom Mr. Kis-
Jngbuiy came here to see is Henry Bie
ftrbick, the hospital steward of the
.freely expedition, who is now an in
spector of customs at this port. Mr.
•iederbick was averse to saying much
‘garding the death of Lieutenant Kis
ngbury or as to the alleged post-mortem
tnnibalism, but he freely expressed his
rinion about the want of appreciation
town the men who risked their lives
id died horrible deaths by the House
Representatives, which" killed tho
,enate bill giving them back pay
anointing to $703.75 each, which was
tie the enlisted survivors or their legal
hipresentatives. As a consequence of
Mr. Riederbick says that the widow
i D. C. Ralston, a sergeant of the
nited States Signal Corps and a mcm
r of the expedition, is now in a poor
juse in Massachusetts, ami that the
dow of W. H. Cross, an engineer,
,io also died a martyr to the cause in
»e Arctic regions, is in destitute condi
jon in Washington.
J Mr. Kislingbury says that he will
wer rest satisfied until the facts which
i declares have been withheld from the
| >lio in relation to the expedition and
(ich will substantiate charges of in
' t apeteney and bad conduct on the part
Greely are laid bare.

Catarrh
May nfFect any portion of the body where the mucous
membrane is found. But catarrh of the head ia by far
the most common, and, strange to say, the most liable
to be neglected. It originates in a cold, or succession
otcoids, combined with impure blood. The wonderful
fiuccesa Hood’s Sarsaparilla has bad in curing catarrh
warrants us in urging al; who suffer with this disease to
try the peculiar medicine. It renovates and invigorates
the blood and tones every organ.
