W» have published in our columns from
time to time different aivertk-ments iu re
gard to Bright’* Disease ami its cures.
What is this terrible disease'
We have taken >he trouble to make an in
vestigation from the I eat sources, ami we
give the results to our readers.
What astonishes u* isth» general iudiffer
Mice given to kidney disorder*. I’he kidneys
do not sound th* alarm of their disetisedcon
dition. owing to the fti'-t that they ha\X very
few nerve*, lienee few susffet that there is
any disease in them. Irritation. inHamnia
tion. ulceration set in. ami then the little
tul>es. of which the kidney* are full, are de
ktroyed and thrown off. and from this fact,
are called tube casts.
Assoon as this begin* to take place it isoulv
a question of how fast decomposition g'»es on
la*fore the disease results fatallv. If the
proper remedies ar* taken liefore final d*
composition or waste of the.-e tills** com
tnence* or be<*om»* too far advanced, that is
the only and last chance for relief. It, mat this
jioint or before that. Warner’s safe cure
£ proves so beneficial, and may cure or stop the
wasting away of the kidneys if it has not ad
v am-ed t<s> far. •
• The most remarkable thing <>f «|| om* in
Vestigatioii is the fact that th* patient with
Bright’s disease ha« no exclusive symptom*.
Juit lias the symptoms of every common
disease.
I’irst he may possibly feel a dull pain in
his back, generally upon one side. whi*h doe*
not <iebar him from bis usual business roti
tine. After a time he may liegin to feel
neuralgic pains, or have a slight attack of
what he may call rheumatism, or headache,
with high or dark colored urine, with an un
pleasant sensation in its passage, and after
standing showing an unnatural condition.
Later on. come tired feelings, loss ot ambi
tion or vigor, or loss of or fading eyesight,
which is very common, with a distressed con
ditiou of the stomach. Any o.ie of these
symptoms is liable to occur.
Tins no doubt explains why the propr.etors
of Warner’s safe ciireare curing - > many dis
eases. By regulating and building up the
kidney*, svmptoms of general ill health dis
apjiear. They justly accuse the medical pro
fession of treating the affects and not th*
cause, finally if this disorder is neglected
the patient either dies of appoplety, nneu
n'loiiia, heart disease, blood poisoning, con
sumption, or any other disease that the sys
tern is moat subject to.
There ap]»*ars to be some one cause for
nearly every other ailment of th* human
system, but, up to the present time no one has
been able to fully account for this terrible
malady. We understand that, the people of
Germany have lte<*onie aware of its fearful
fatality, ami have offered liMi.Odo marks
iflilOjiDO) to any one that can satisfactorily
explain the cause.
A Georgia Lover’s Stratagem.
[From the American Republican. |
A young countryman, who had long
loved a girl who lived a mile or two
from him, was nearly in despair about
winning her hand, and was on the eve of
selling out and leaving the country, as
the girl had refused him three times,
and it was out that she was engaged to
another fellow. Our hero had noticed
that his rival and the girl would walk iu
an old meadow field nearly every after
noon, and he grew madly jealous. In
his cattle he had u young bull that was
always mad with everything but. his
master, because he was an especial pel .
Now' Dave, as he called the bull, was to
be the object with which to satiate his
revenge. He would turn him into the
meadow, hide himself, and see his rival
tossed like a football. So one afternoon,
calling to Dave, who would follow him
like a dog, he repaired to the meadow,
let the fence down, and turned the bull
in. He then strolled oft’, and walked
around as miserable as a man could be
who was committing an evil deed. An
hour or so later he heard the deep mut
tarings of the hull, and hastening to the
meadow fence he saw Dave about
twenty yards from the couple, pawing
dirt and shaking his head. The man
was trying to get the girl to run, but
she was so terrified she could not move.
The bull made a dash, and the fellow
ran shrieking for the fence. The bull
dashed on after the living fellow, while
our disconsolate young man, having
jumped the fence, rushed to the girl, as
the bull dashed on after the fugitive
rival, and, catching her in his arms,
told her that such a coward was un
worthy of her. As Dave saw his young
master he left off pursuing the other
man, returned and went to licking his
hand, while the indignant girl vowed
she would never more speak to a man
that was afraid of a cow. She soon af

CATARRH iN THE HEAD.
SYMPTOMS OF THE DISEASE. -Dull, heavy headache,
obstruction of the nasal passages, discharges tailing from the
head intu the throat, sometimes profuse, watery, and acrid, at
others, thick, tenacious, mucous, purulent, bloody and putrid;
the eyes are weak: there is ringing in the ears, deafness, hacking
or coughing to clear the throat, expectoration of offensive mat
ter, together with scabs from ulcers; the voice is changed and
has a ‘‘nasal twang": the breath is offensive; sin, 11 and taste
Impaired; there is a sensation ot dizziness, with mental depres
sion, a hacking cough and general debility. Only a few or the
above-named symptoms are likely to be present in any one case.
Thousands of cases annually, without manifesting half of tho
above symptoms, result in consumption, and end in the grave.
No disease is so common, mon* deceptive and dangerous, less
