LES BAM BIN CLUB
The members of the Les Bambin Club entertained a few
friends with an “egg rolling” on Saturday, April 15th. The
spacious lawn of little Gloria Dowse at 936 W. 41st street was
the getting of a beautiful affair. A large nest of colored eggs
was arranged on a table at the farthest end of the lawn. Many
games were played during the afternoon. The egg rolling
game climaxed the 'various activities.' This game was won
by the blue-team who received yo-yo toys as prizes. The yel¬
low egg team received booby prizes of windmills. The tiniest
tots who were unable to participate in the games received
paper hats as prizes for their activities.
Mesdames Sadie Garteledge and Evelyn May were in charge
of the egg rolling while Mrs. Isabell Waters entertained the
tiny tots. Everyone received balloons and whistles. Ice cream
cookies, Easter eggs and candies wre enjoyed by all.
Guests included Isadore Williams, Haskel Arnold, Janie
Hunter, Edward Nelson, Jr., Claudine and John Mitchell,
James Roberts, Jr., Clayton Marie Copeland. Harold and Mel¬
vin Washington, Dorothy Jamerson, Mary Boles, David Ben¬
nett, Mary Catherine, Panice and Pohirima Singleton,
Yvonne Ebbs, Rose Simmons, Catherine Robinson, Mesdames
Rosalyn Arnold, V. Singleton, Singleton, and Emma Lindsey .
The hosts and hostesses include Alvin, Bobby and Ann Waters,
Marion and Reginald May, Gloria Dowse, Blannie and Ernest
Cartledge, Parmalita Maynard, Grian, Otha and Olinda Doug-

NACIREMAS ENTERTAINS
The Naciremas celebrated their Sixth Anniversary on Fri¬
day night with a .ala affair at the Coconut Grove. The ball
room was beautiful W decorated with the club colors, palms
and ferns. Red, white and blue streamers were draped over
the entire ceiling.
“DAnny hoy the club’s favorite song wits played as the
NAC’s danced 'out alone with their partners just before mid¬
night. Favors were then distributed which of course added

MRS. VIRGINIA FLOYD YOUTH DAY SPEAKER
Mi's. Viginia C. Floyd was the speaker for the “Youth
Day” activities at Bryan Baptist Church on last Sunday. Her
subject was “Today’s Youth.” The Youth Choir rendered
the music. Among the visitors was Miss Gertrude Larxe, one
of SavannahL wen Known social workers . . The pu,blic is in¬
vited to attend the Woman’s Day program) on Sunday, May 7.

services and Mrs. Ola Dingle for the evening. Mrs. Anna Max¬

To Be Presented In Recital
Surprise Shower
Tuesday evening, April 25, a
few of the neighbors on East
Gordon street gathered at the
home of Mrs. Catharine Fisher
and gave a surprise rhower for
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Gadson, form¬
er neighbors, who moved into
their new home which they re¬
cently built at 922 West Victory
drive. The tables were laden
with numerous useful gifts over
which Mr. and Mrs. Gadson were
very happy. In fact, Mrs. Gad¬
son was so happy that she was
almost speechless. A short pro¬
gram was rendered as follows:
