Death of Col. Jemws Ir. Cettene.
This high toned gentlemen, aged 62
years, died yesterday morning in Bussell
county of heart disease. He was a mem
ber of the Msthodiet oburoh and was a
straightforward industrious and well-to-
do oitisen. Ha was several years ago one
of the firm of Watt A C as tens. He was
formerly ,s citizen of Talbot county and
represented her in the Legislature many
yean ago. He wee regarded as ons of

Judge Ingram rstnmed from Marion
Court yesterday, whioh will adjourn about
the Uttar portion of the week. He ad-
dressed the people Monday, favoring the
Constitutional Convention. Those also
there asy his address was vary sbls end
interesting. Hs states that fully eight
more addresses ere to be delivered during
the week. Some of tho people of that
county appear to bo somewhat opposed
to the Convention.
Stewart Superior Court will not meet
next week, owing to tho went of a Sher
iff in that oounty. Judge Crawford will
appoint a special term for tho hearing of
the eriminal dooket. The Sheriff has re
signed, and hU place has not yet been
filled.

of Deerfield, shout ton milse from this
