THE CITY LIGHT OVAHDB.
This oompany was out on drill yester
day afternoon in their new fatigue uni
form. They were under command of
Captain Salisbury, and bad out thirty
muskets. They made a fine appearance
and attraoted large crowds to witness
their movements. As the oompany was
marobing by Mrs. Tilman's, little Mias
Bettie sent an invitation to atop and par
take of oake and ioe lemonade, whieh she
had prepared. Thgjr did so, and after be
ing refreshed, gave three oheere for the
maiden, with a hearty good will. They
then marohed np Btpad to St. Clair street,
where various military movements were
exeouted in fine style. They were then
tamed over to the Orderly Beargeant for
dismissal.
This oompany has been reoently re
organized, and ia now in a prosperom con
dition, having added many new members
to its roll, yot they are in debt from bad
management heretofore and they are anx
ious to get free of the burden. The times
are bard and oar people are so often so
licited to aid various objeots by oontribn-
tioos that this oompany wilt not osll upon
its fi lends for direct aid and therefore
will give a grand festival on the eveninga
of the 2d, 3d and 4th of July, charging
a small sum of ten oenta for admission.
By the sale of ioe cream, lemonade, Ao.,
Ao., they hope to raise a sum sufficient for
their needs. A platform for danoing and
a stage for mnsioal performances, which
will be free, will be among the attractions.
It is hoped our people will turn out en
masse and help the aoldier-boys in their
undertaking. Pleasant evenings, worth
five times the admission fee, will be guar
anteed to all.
THE O. OUNBY JORDAN.
From the Daily Herald, of Penaaoola,
we learn something of tbe new steamer.
Several passengers embarked on her from
that point, among whom were John It.
Bilinpe, of ltuseell oonnty, Alabama, and
George Keene, of the Pensacola railroad
shops. The Herald thus speaks of tbe

Dr. Ishssek’s Psslwsewle Syrup,
Sba Wees Tonic and Mandraeb Pills.—
These medioines have undoubtedly per
formed more onres of Consumption than
any other remedy known to the Ameriotn
public. They are compounded of vege
table ingredients, and contain nothing
which can be injurious to the human con
stitution. Other remedies advertised as
onres for Consumption, probably oontain
opium, which is a somewhat dangerous
drug in all cases, and if taken freely by
consumptive patients, it must do great
injury; for its tendency ia to oonfloe the
morbid matter in tbe system, whiob, of
oourae, count make a oure impossible.
Bohenck's Pulmonio Syrup ia warranted
not to oontain a pnrtiole of opium; it is
oompoaed of powerful bnt harmless
herbs, wbioh sot on tbe lungs, liver,
stomach, and blood, and thus oorreot all
morbid aeoretions, and expel all the dis
eased matter from the body. These are
tbe only means by wbioh Gonsnmption

Syrup, Sea Weed Tonio and Mandrake
Pills are the only medioinee which op r-
ate in thia way, it is obvious they are the
only genuine onre for Pulmonary Con
