Death of Air. Paul L. Holland.
Mr. J. T. Holland, of Browneviiie, has received
a letter from Marshall, Texas, announcing the
death of his nephew, Mr. Paul L Holland, at
that place on August 3. Mr. Holland was about
twenty-seven years of age, and a native of Colum
bus, having gone to Texas abont five years ago.
Mr. Holland has a large circle of friends here
who will regret to learn of his death.

A Strange Cloud.
A strange, grayish looking cioud was observed
about 1. o'clock last night. The cloud extended
across the horizon from the southeast to the
northwest. It ioomed in sight suddenly and
disappeared as rapidly and as gracefully as the
flight cf a bird. The cloud was followed by a
strong gust of wind. Those who witnessed the
phenomena say they have never seen anything
