WHEREAS, Official Information ha*
been received at this Denartmenl that nit
tbe night of tbe 19th of November luet in
the county of Gilmer, the barn or Julius
Worley was set on lire and burned by
some peison or persons unknown, which
burning resulted in the death or Ames
Worley, wbo was sleeping in said barn.
I have thought proper, therefore, to Is
sue this my Proclamation, hereby offer
ing a reward or Two Hundred and Fifty
Dollars for tbe apprehension and deliv
ery ot said unkown incendiary or incen
diaries with evidence sufficient to con
vict, to tbe Blierifi of seid County and
State. Aim [do moreover charge and
require all Officers in this State. Civil
and Military, to be vigilautin endeavor
ing to apprehend the said incendiaries
in order that they may be brought to
trial for the offense with wbleli be stands
charged.
