1st of July through passenger trains will be
from Augusta and Savannah to Montgomery, via
Millcn, Macon, and Columbus. This makes tho
Montgomery nnd West Point Railroad a branch
from Opelika to West Point, nnd necessitates two

going north, via Atlanta—one at Opelika, and onu

Clover in Jones County.—Tho editor of tho
Macon Telegraph ha9 seen a bunch of red clover
from tho farm of Col. D. E. Blount, of Jones
county. It was four feet high, and nn average
sample of p field .of scvoral neros. It would cut
over two tons to tho acre.
Crops.—Tho wheat has been harvested, nnd
the yield ascertained to bo not as good us last year,
but an average ono. Corn and cotton, says the
Xowunn Herald, aro suffering greatly from the
protracted drought.
