go, for he always has something to
tell us that will feed a* hungry soul.
Our school is still progressing nice

It is quite true that such troubles as
Mrs. Meyer had may reach a stage where
an operation is the only resource. On
the other hand, a great many .women
have been restored to health by Lydia E.
Pinkham’s Vegetable Compound.

The next dose of calomel you take
may salivate you. It may shock-your
liver or start bone necrosis. Calomel is
dangerous. It is mercury, quicksilver.
It crashes into sour bile like dynamite,
cramping and sickening you. Calomel
attacks the bones and should never be
put into your system.
If you feel bilious, headachy, consti
pated and all knocked out, just go to
your druggist and get a bottle of Dod
son’s Liver Tone for a few cents which
is a harmless vegetable substitute for
dangerous calomel. Take a spoonful and
if it doesn’t start your liver and
straighten you- up better and quicker
than nasty calomel and without making
yon sick, you just go back and get yonr
money.
Don’t take calomel! It can not be
trusted any more than a leopard or a
wild-cat. Take Dodson’s Liver Tone
which straightens you right up and
makes you feel fine. No salts necessary.
Give it to the children because it is
perfectly harmless and can not salivate.
“COLD IN THE HEAD”
is an acute attack of Nasal Catarrh.
Those subject to frequent “colds in the
head” will find that the use of HALL’S
CATARRH MEDICINE will build up the
System and render them less liable to
colds. Repeated attacks of Acute Ca
tarrh may lead to Chronic Catarrh.
HALL’S CATARRH MEDICINE is
taken internally and acts through the
Blood on the Mucous surfaces of the
System, thus reducing the inflammation
and assisting Nature in restoring normal
conditions.

other old-time enjoyable occasion. \
The weather gets just right and
along comes hog killing time which all
country people look forward to. But
my hogs “took and died” all by them
selves while they were small shoats,
which saved me all the anxiety of cold
weather to come. Nevertheless, I have
good neighbors who remember that old
arithmetic rule of knowing how to di
vide so I’m in luck anyway.
If you want to live in a good neigh
borhood, come to Waring.

your
Even a sick child loves the “fruity”
taste of “California Fig Syrup.” If the
little tongue is coated, or if your child is
listless, cross, feverish, full of cold, or has
colic, give a teaspoonful to cleanse the
liver and bowels. In a few hours you can
see for yourself how thoroughly it works
all the constipation poison, sour bile and
waste out of the bowels, and you have a
well/ playful child again. ~-
Millions of mothers keep “California
Fig Syrup” handy. They know a tea
spoonful today saves a sick child to
morrow. Ask your druggist for genuine

Christmas time is almost here. There
are so many of us who think of the
holidays as a time for pleasure of
this world, and do anything for pleas
ure whether good or evil; but I think
we should be like the poet who wrote
the words of the good old song, “Near
er, My God to Thee,” for that is the
birthday of God’s Son who was sent
to redeem a lost world from everlast
ing punishment. So I think the young
people ought to be taught that Christ
mases a time for worship and not for
sinful pleasure.
