Death of Mrs. Oabloy. Mrs. Oakley, wife of Dr. J. 11. Oakley of ilawkinsvillc, died of heart disease, a'.iout 1 o'clock, on Tuesday morning last. Mrs. Oakley was a member of Ruth He lickuli Lodge of this place, by which Lodge, in connection with that of the I. o O. F.'s, her remains were escorted on Wednesday morning to Orange Grove Ccmcteiy, ami interred therein. Ruin (storm iti C'<M-krun, We learn from passengers by the train that Tuesday evening last the town of Cochran and vicinity had the heaviest ruin that lias probably fallen in that sec tion for twelve months. Large quantities •fluiil accompanied the ruin, and also violent wind, which prostiatcd chimneys, feuces, etc., and doing great damage to open cotton. The Great Eastern Circus We are to have snotber Circus in Hawk insville. It will be here with its many dens of wild animals, hundreds of men and horses and liviug wonders, on Monday, the 30lh September. If the great Eastern Circus, Menagerie, etc., is ail that it is rep resented to be, then the people of this sec have never seen a greater show. They have had erected a plank paling entirely across the old McCabe lot, which is now covered witli the most gorgeous and at tractive pictures ever posted in the town. For the same date last year (17lh Sep tember) there had been received Hut 38 bales, allowing that 528 more bales have tieen brought to market this season Ilian last.
