The Alumni Asscciation of Emory
College held their annual reunion at
Oxford, on Tuesday, June 11th, 8 p. m.
Prot. L. B. Robeson, of class 1888, is
president. A fine program of addresses
and banquet gave a pleasure to those
present net soon to be forgotten. The
editor of the Journal regretted that he
could not avail himself of an invitation
to be present.
Work is progressing on the three new
stores being built by Judge Gober on
Atlanta street. Stores will also be
built facing Anderson street. and an
opera house in the second story. The
store buildings .on Atlanta street will
be completed by August Ist.

strong, left Saturday with the Fifth
Georgia Regiment to attend Georgia
Day, the 10th, at Jamestown Exposi
tion. \

To-morrow (Friday) John Mitchell,
colored, incarcerated in Cobb county
jail. will be hanged for the murder of
Nash Johnson, colored. Mitchell has
been making spiritual preparation for
his death, while the sheriff is getting
everything in readiness.
