I promise the entire people of this

will devote the best work and energy of
my life to the duties of the office, and I
will give them a fair, impartial, clean,
and ecenomical administration of the

I will do this regardless of how they

Whether I have opposition or not, I

Atlanta, Ga., July 25, 1907,—Mr. A. S.
J. Gardner, Marietta, Ga. Dear Sir: We
hand you enclosed certificate of analysis
giving results upon the sample of water
sent us some time ago, and beg to advise
you, in this connection, that the analysis
shows the water to be of unusual purity,
both as regards organic and mineral mat
ter. The amount of organic matter, as
shown by sanitary analysis, is almost
nothing, and the mineral ingredients
found are also very low, the amount com
paring very favorably with the purity of
distilled water. We can recommend this
water very highly for drinking purposes.

HOME MISSION ITRMS.
There has roacently been purchased
by the Home Mission Society a valuable
piece of property in Alemeda, Cal., for
our Japanese Mission. It is centrally
located, with large grounds and a house
large enough, not only for present de
mands, but gives room for future
growth. The new building has been
named “‘Mary Helm Hall,” as an ax
pression of the appreciation of the life
and work of the beloved editor of “Our
Homes,” who has always been deeply
interested in the Japanese work.
The Korean Mission in San Francisco
is steadily growing. The Koreans are
eager for the Gospel, and when they be
come Christiang, they are steadfast.
Truly God hus sent the heathen to our
doors. Two members of the Mission
have returned to their native land to
carry the message of salvation to their
countrymen. One young man has en
tered the “Sue Bennett Memorial,” to
prepare himself for mission work among
his peaople.
“Wesley House’” has been establish
ed at the Lindale Mills, Rome, Ga.,
with Miss Addie Mitchell as deaconess.
The owners of the mills, realizing tha
needs of the people who are operating
them, are paying all the expenses of
the deaconess and her helper.
Still the ery comes for more workers,
trained workers. The demand for more
deaconesses is more than we are able
| tosupply. Quite a number have entered
upon the scholarships at the training
school this year. ‘
WOMAN’S DAY AT BIBLE CONFERENOE, ‘
A large delegation from Marietta
auxiliary attended the services on'
Missionary day at the Sam Jones’
Bible Conference. It was a grand day
for the women. Some of our leading
workers were there, at their best. The
subjects were well chosen, and the
talks were full of information and en
couragement. 'We are grateful to Mrs.
Sara Jones for her forethought in plan
ning for this day, whieh proved such a
blessing to so many women.
We had the privilege of having Miss
Benunett, the president of our Board,
with us at our last meeting. She gave
a review of our work, beginning with its
organization and following it all through
its development, dwelling on each de
partment, showing how ma.velously
the work has grown, and w lat our great
est needs are now. This spirit-filled
woman travels the length and breadth
of our Church in the interest of the
Home Mission Society, speaking words
of encouragement, presenting its needs,
and planning fos larger growth.

Ordinary Methods for Treating Catarrh
Prove Unsuccessful
Recent statistics showing an increase
incatarrh have shaken the confidence in
medical men in the usual preseriptions
to safeguard human health from the
ravages of this disease.
When stomach dosing proved inef
fective, it was natural to look for some
other treatment, and it is believed that
in Hyomei an absolute cure for all ca
tarrhal troubles has at last been found.
Breathed through a neat pocket inhaler,
its healing medication reaches every
spot where there are catarrhal germs,
destroys, them, prevents their future
growth, and eoothes the irritated mu
cous membrane 8o that relief is felt al
most instartly, while lasting cure is
practically sure to follow.
The complete Hyomei outfit costs
but $l, and is sold by C. M. Crosby &
CUo. under an absolute ugreement to re
fund the money if it does not give sat
isfaction. It is the only cure for ca
tarrh that has ever been sold under a
guarantee to cost nothing unless it
cures, but C. M. Crosby &Co have so
much faith in its power to cure all ca
tarrhal troubles, that they are willing
to take the rizk, so if Hyomei does not
help you, there will not be a penny’s
expenge. (vet an outfit at once on this
liberel plan.
A good many people think they
have done their duty by a friend
in trouble when they tell him not
to worry.

3 OLD FOLKS
Can Renew Their Strength.
While it is impossible for the aged to
renew their youth we want to gay to all
elderly people in Marietta, that they
can renew their strength by taking our
delicions cod liver preparation, Vinol.
Vinol, being rich in the elements of
life, is an ideal etrengthener and body
builder for old folks.
Mr. A. J. Barker, of Evansville, Ind.,
says: ‘“‘Thereis no other medicine in
the world equal to Vinol for elderly
people. I would not take a thousand
dollars for the good it has done me.”
Vinol is not a patent medicine, but a
real cod liver oil preparation made by a
scientific, extractive and concentrating
process from fresh cods’ livers combin
ing with peptonate-of-iron all the me
dicinal, healing, body-building elements
of eod liver oil, but no oil,
Vinol tones up the digestive organs,
makes rich red blood. and sound, steady
nerves. In this way it repairs worn
tissues, checks the natural decline of
the aged. builds up the run down, tired
and debiiitated, and replaces weakrness
with sirength. We ask every aged or
weak person in Marietta to try Vinol on
our offer to return money if it fails to
give satisfaction. C M. Urosby & Co.,
