WHY COLDS ARE DANGEROUS.
Because you have contracted ordi
nary colds and recovered from them
without treatment of any kind, do not
for & moment imagine that colds are
not dangerous. KEveryone knows that
pneamonia and chronic catarrh have
their origin in a common cold. Con
sumption is not caused by a cold, but
the cold prepares the system tor the
reception and development of the germs
that would not otherwise have found
lodgment. It is the same with all in
fectious diseases. Diphtheria, scarlet
fever, measles and whooping cough are
much more likely to be contracted
when the child has acold. You will
see from this that more real danger
lurks in a cold than in any other of the
common ailments. The easiest and
quickest way to ¢ e a cold is to take
Chamberlain’s Cough Remedy. The
many remarkable cures effected by this
preparation have made it a staple arti
cle of trade over a la;ige part of the
world. For sale by C. M. Crosby & Co,,

TELLS HOW TO MiX IT. |
A well-known authority on Rheuma
tism gives the readers of a large New
York daily paper the fellowing valua:
ble, yet simple and harmless preserip
tion, which any one can easily prepare
at home.
Fluid Extract Dandelion, ene-half
ounce ; Compound Kargon, one ounee ;
Compuund Syrup Saraparilla, three
ounces.
Mix by shaking well in a bottle, and
take a teaspoonful after each meal and
at bedtime.
- He states that the ingredients can be
obtained from any good prescription
pharmacy at small cost, and, being of
vegetable extraction, are haamless to
‘take.
This ypleagant mixture, if taken regu
\ larly for a few days, is said to overecome
almost any case of Rheumatism. The
pain and swelling, if any, diminishes
with each dose, until permanent results
are obtained, and without injuring the
stomach. While there are many so
celled Rheumatism remedies, dpar.ent
'medicines, ete., some of which do give
relief, few really give permanent re
sults, and the above will, no doubt, be
greatly appreciated by many sufferers
‘here at this time.
Inquiry at the drug stores of this
‘neighborhood elicits the information
that these drugs are harmless and can
'be bought separately, or the druggist
hers will mix the prescription for our
readers if asked to.
- It doesn’t take the average man
‘half as long to teil what he knows
a 8 it does to tell what he thinks
‘he knows.
Stop the Strenuous Life
Weakens the Tissues and Lessens
Organic Vitality.
The stressand strain of the strenuous
life in both city and country tends to
wards stomach troubles.
Five people suffer today where one
did ten years ago with sick headche,
dizziness, flatulence, distress after eat
ing, specks before the eyes, bloating,
nervousness,sleeplessness and the many
other symptoms of indigestion.
All who are suffering with stomach
troubles, and that means at least two
out of three in Marietta and other
towns, should use Mi-o-na stomach tab
lets. Nothing else is as safe, yet effec
tive ; nothing else can be so thoroughly
relied upon to reliave all troubles from
indigestion a Mi-o-na.
It is not a mere digestive taken after
the food is eaten, but a true tonic, stimu
lant and strengthener for the museular
walls of the stomach, increasing the
flow of digestive fluids and putting the
stomach into such condition that it
does the work Nature expects it to do.
So reliable is Mi-o-na in its curative
action that C M, Crosby & Co., with
every 50 cent box they sell give a guar
antee to refund the money unless the
remedy does all that is elaimed for it.
